Ants are social insects that gather in large colonies that consists of queens and many workers. They are attracted to any food and water that they can find to bring back to their nests, specifically sweets. Queen ants can produce at a rate of 800 eggs per day, and each egg would hatch in 8-10 days. While some species of ants may pose certain health risks to people sensitive of their bites, they are mostly harmless and are only a nuisance to homes and establishments due to their constant construction of nests and their nomadic lifestyle.
